Sicily, a land to fall in love with

Owned by the Russo Messina family, the vineyards of native and allochthonous varieties extend for about 69 hectares among the hills of Salemi at an altitude between 60 and 260 metres.

The vines have been planted on hilly terrain with a medium slope, particularly suited to a southern exposure, characterised by a favourable microclimate, a wide temperature range between day and night and mitigated by southerly winds.

The vineyards are mainly espalier-trained with Guyot pruning and grow on marl-clay soil that gives the wine particular characteristics, such as structure, longevity and softness, releasing complex olfactory and taste sensations. Part of the vineyards' Grillo grapes and Nero d'Avola grapes are now bush-trained.
